There are estimated to be over 600,000 physicians in the United States.  We have only listed those physicians who have been quoted or otherwise referenced on Medical Marijuana ProCon.org. All individuals on this site with an MD have been assigned a theoretical expertise ranking of 4 stars, designating them as Key Experts in the medical marijuana debate, because with their training and clinical work, physicians should, in theory, have the best knowledge of marijuana's medical value and risks. Our full list of site sources contains biographies of other credible individual sources who do not have MDs, as well as organizations.
