“The Regional Development Institute (RDI) [now operating previous Center for Governmental Studies’ programs] is a key component of Northern Illinois University’s Division of Outreach.

Charged with connecting, collaborating and creating solutions, RDI is committed to providing services that contribute to the social and economic well-being of the Northern Illinois community, the state of Illinois and the nation. Those services include assessing needs, developing partnerships, achieving common goals, gathering, analyzing, interpreting and creating knowledge and teaching, organizing, modeling and brokering the delivery of the knowledge.”
